Overview
Our chief concern is with how nature and culture interact and how these interactions can be better managed to serve more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable futures.
Our research encompasses and integrates human geography, physical geography, environmental studies and spatial science. We focus on environmental values, place, governance, social, ecological and institutional change, policy, management, planning and decision-making. We work in a range of systems including natural environments, built urban environments, and rural agricultural systems.
