Early Acceptance Scholarship

Annual reduction in tuition fees.

This scholarship covers 15% of registered tuition fees for the duration of study up to a maximum of four years. Applicants must have an offer for an eligible course commencing in 2025, and either be a citizen of an eligible country listed below, or residing onshore in Australia at the time of applying for their student visa.

Recipients of the merit-based Tasmanian International Scholarship are also eligible for the Early Acceptance Scholarship at a reduced rate of 10%. The total Tasmanian International Scholarship + Early Acceptance Scholarship package gives eligible students a total of a 35% reduction on registered tuition fees for the full duration of the course. Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be classified as an International Student as defined under the Application rules of the University of Tasmania.
  • Be a citizen of Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, or Vietnam, or a student residing onshore in Australia at the time of applying for their student visa.
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree (see terms and conditions below)
  • Not be a student from a Transnational Education (TNE) partner affiliated with the University of Tasmania.
  • Not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania scholarship or any external sponsorship (with the exception of the Tasmanian International scholarship - see TIS+Early Acceptance Scholarship package for details).
  • Not be commencing at the University of Tasmania through an articulation agreement with a partner institution.
  • Be commencing the first year of their program in 2025.
  • Accept your offer on or after 14th October 2024 and before the scholarship deadline specified in your offer letter.

Apply

Students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application so there is no need to apply separately. Offer letters will notify applicants if they have been awarded the scholarship.

Frequently Asked Questions

This scholarship can be offered in conjunction with the English Language Package. It can also be packaged with the Tasmanian International Scholarship, at a reduced rate of 10%.

To be assessed for the Early Acceptance Scholarship eligibility you first need to apply to study at the University of Tasmania. A separate scholarship application is not required for bachelor or coursework master degree programs.

Study Abroad and Exchange international students undertaking short-term academic studies for a 6 or 12 month period at the University are not eligible to receive any international student scholarship or bursary.

The online application system will not allow you to submit your application unless you have filled in all the required fields. Once you have completed your application, a submit button will appear.

Once you click on the submit button you and/or your agent representative will receive a system-generated email advising your application has successfully been submitted. Please keep a copy of this email for your records.
